Since the end of November, the structural unit of the Association “Latvian Red Cross”, Latvian Red Cross Youth implements the project “Let’s Create” (No. DIKS–16–3254–lī). The project is financed by the Education, Culture and Sports Department of Rīga City Council. The objective of the project “Let’s Create” is to attract resources to develop and improve the skills of the volunteers of the Latvian Red Cross Youth and improve its capacity.
Period of project implementation: 25 November 2016 – 31 March 2017
Project implementation place: Riga, Latvia
Objective: to provide the youngsters and volunteers of the LatLRCY an opportunity to develop their independent reasoning and assessment skills, cooperation skills, to improve the ability to use their experience and obtain new, to express their opinion and improve presenting skills.
During training course, it is planned to educate about the following topics:
Health and first aid;
Violence and its types;
Basic principles of successful team (team-building event);
Motivational training to achieve one’s goals;
Successful presentation skills.
The training will be led by specialists and peer educators using informal education methods, providing the youngsters and volunteers of the LatLRCY an opportunity to develop their independent reasoning and assessment skills, cooperation skills, to improve the ability to use their experience and obtain new, to express their opinion and improve presenting skills.
