On 21st January, 2021, the Latvian Red Cross representatives participated at the webinar entitled “Addressing to specific needs of people living with HIV, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis and drug users in COVID-19 context” that was organized by ERNA network together with International Federation of Red Cress and Red Crescent societies (IFRC) Regional Office for Europe.
The event featured presentations by Dr. Askar YEDILBAYEV – World Health Organization Europe Regional office, Dr. Davron Mukhamadiev – IFRC Europe Health and Care Coordinator; good practices were shared by the Red Cross national societies from across the region including Tajik, Kyrgyz, Spanish, Croatian, Slovenian, Italian and Azerbaijan National Societies. The event seeked to share knowledge in assisting key vulnerable populations during the pandemic, covering psycho-social support, harm reduction, and tools to support people in line with COVID-19 response framework.
