Project “Towards Tomorrow” (No. DIKS—16-404-lī)
Project implementation period: 1 March 2016 – 30 November
Objective: to facilitate improvement of the quality of life and integration in society of customer of the LatLRC ĪUMS “Burtnieks”, age 3 to 70, without a permanent place of residence or persons in crisis, thereby facilitating creation of united society in Riga.
The needs of the project target group is obtaining practical and theoretical skills and knowledge that would help them to improve motivation and develop the ability to manage their resources. The target audience needs to socialise and obtain skills to look for permanent place of residence, its arrangement, involvement in labour market, and community as fully entitled members.
Project implementation place: LatLRC ĪUM “Burtnieks”, Riga
Key activities and results of the project:
- 63 courses for children;
- 9 consultations of psychologist;
- 16 group courses of social worker;
- 33 sports (exercises) courses for children and adults;
- 5 customer team-building events;
- 3 first aid training courses;
- 3 LatLRC and LatLRC youth and volunteer training courses.
The activities of the project helped to increase the self-confidence of the target audience, emphasising the opportunity to start independent life outside short-term residence premises.
Total budget of the project: 7,777.71 EUR.
